2026 Central Seminary Alumni Retreat
We hope you will join other Central alums for a day of peer support, learning, and spiritual connection. All alumni, regardless of program or language, are welcome to take part in this retreat.
Itinerary*
9:00am – Arrival, check-in, continental breakfast available
9:30am – Welcome and opening discussion
10:00am – A Benedictine Sister will lead a session that examines the basics of centering prayer and contemplative prayer as a practice for our lives.
11:00am - Tour of monastery grounds
11:45am – Lunch in monastic dining room with Sisters
12:45pm - Midday praise with Sisters in the St. Lucy Chapel
1:15pm – Session TBA
2:15pm – Unscheduled time for private prayer, being outside, using the chapel, labyrinth or other spaces, connecting with retreat participants, etc.
3:15pm – A Benedictine Sister will lead a session on living in community with people we don’t always agree with. The Sisters have dedicated their lives to living in community and may have insight into how we can live with and love our neighbors, even when it’s hard and we disagree.
4:15pm – Blessing and closing remarks
4:30pm – Retreat ends
Optional – Participants will have the opportunity to stay overnight. You need to book this reservation separately https://www.mountosb.org/sophia-spirituality-cente... Overnight stays cost $65 per night, for most accommodations, which includes the following (limited availability).
- 5:30pm - Evening praise in the chapel
- Supper in the monastic dining room with Sisters
- Stay overnight in a private room – must check-out the following day before 11:00am
- Breakfast in the monastic dining room with Sisters
